Guodong Shen is a researcher whose interests lie in machine/deep learning, signal/image/video processing, computer vision and anomaly detection. He received a BSc in Electronic Engineering from Dalian Maritime University (PRC) and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh. He then pursued a PhD at the Signal and Information Processing Lab, University of Warwick, where his research focused on video anomaly detection and other modern computer vision topics. His work has been published in IEEE TIP, ICASSP, IJCNN, ECCV Workshops, IEEE FG, among others. Currently, Guodong is a KTP Research Associate at the Adaptive Intelligence Lab, working on AI-driven solutions for rail track and vehicle degradation to help shift railway maintenance from reactive to preventive practices.
