Shuang (Chris) Chen is a Post Doctoral Research Associate, focusing on Computer Vision, Spiking Neural Network, Image/Video Processing and LLM. He has completed a BSc in Automation in Shandong University of Technology, followed by MSc in Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Robotics in the University of Surrey. Then he completed a PhD in Computer Science in Durham University. His research focused on Image Processing and Spiking Neural Networks have been published in AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence
(AAAI), IEEE Transactions on Multimedia (TMM), IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement (TIM), Expert Systems with Applications, International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI 2024), IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) and IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), among others. During his PhD, he worked at Computer Science Department in Durham University, researching Agentic AI and Underwater Image Enhancement and he currently works at the Computer Science Department in Durham University as a PDRA at the Adaptive Intelligence Lab, working on Spiking Neural Network, Image Processing and Agentic AI.
